meet Alana Silber

Alana Silber, B.A., Research/Editorial Assistant, received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University in 2021. Before joining the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy, she was a Research Assistant at the Columbia Couples Lab and the Barnard Anxiety Disorders Lab. Additionally, she worked as a Clinical Research Intern at Columbia University’s School-Based Mental Health Program, where she studied reinforcement tactics within the classroom and helped to create psychological workshops for children and families in upper Manhattan. Alana is also the founder of the podcast “Get Psyched!”, where she interviews diverse members of Columbia University’s psychology departments. Her research interests include romantic relationship satisfaction, couples’ therapy, and abnormal psychology. She plans to pursue a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and hopes to open her own therapy practice in the future. In her free time, she enjoys writing, traveling, and singing.
