Jacqueline Shanley, B.A., Intake Coordinator/Research Assistant,¬†received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from UCLA in 2019. Before joining the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy, she was a Research Assistant at the UCLA Semel Institute of Neuroscience and Human Behavior and the UCLA Marriage Lab. Additionally, she worked as a temporary Research Coordinator at Columbia University Medical Center on a study researching a possible treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. Jacqueline is also currently volunteering at the NYU Family Translation Research Group where she studies couples’ problem solving mechanisms. Her research interests include relationships science and couples’ communication styles. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and is exploring either a career in research or as a clinical psychologist.
