Full-Time Licensed Social Worker: Opening
The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy is seeking a New York licensed Social Worker to join our established practice in New York City beginning January 2026. Our clientele is sophisticated New Yorkers who expect state-of-the-art care. We are interested in excellence regardless of area of expertise and we are looking for someone who can join our team in January 2026. We have weekly case conferences and often invite international speakers to present. We have weekly DBT team meetings where team members coordinate care and engage in group supervision. The search will continue until a suitable candidate is chosen.
Salary range: $65,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Dr. Leahy is the Honorary Life-time President, New York City Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association and Distinguished Founding Fellow, Diplomate, of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Leahy received the Aaron T. Beck Award for Outstanding Contributions in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
Our Team: Our staff provide comprehensive evaluations and state-of-the-art cognitive-behavioral therapy while maintaining active roles in training other professionals. Many team members teach and supervise in graduate programs and medical schools throughout the New York City area and have authored research articles and chapters on cognitive-behavioral therapy.
