Daniela Cordovez Flores
Daniela Cordovez Flores is an incoming intern at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy. She is a senior at Columbia University, majoring in Psychology with special concentrations in Women’s & Gender Studies and Business Management. Daniela currently works as a Research Assistant in the Columbia Couples & Social Relations Lab, where she is developing her senior thesis on how socioeconomic background shapes the support people offer and prefer in romantic relationships under stress.
She also serves as a Teaching Assistant in the Psychology Department and previously completed a shadowing internship in the Psychiatry Department at Hospital Universitario Dr. José Eleuterio González, one of Mexico’s largest public hospitals. There, she attended clinical interviews, took case notes, and contributed to case presentations.
Daniela plans to pursue graduate studies in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on trauma disorders in adult women.
