Aspasia Hotzoglou, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and senior staff member at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy. She is licensed in New York, Colorado, and Connecticut, and holds a telehealth license for clients residing in Florida. Dr. Hotzoglou works with adults, adolescents, and families to help them regulate overwhelming emotions, reduce suffering, and reconnect with what matters most.
Her work centers on helping clients navigate the emotional challenges of anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and relationship stress. She is especially skilled in supporting individuals who struggle with perfectionism, health anxiety, insomnia, and difficulties with emotional intensity. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based strategies that promote long-term change.
Dr. Hotzoglou has completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is highly proficient in the treatment of emotion dysregulation, borderline personality disorder, and interpersonal conflict. Dr. Hotzoglou earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University and completed her APA-accredited internship at the James J.
